Pokey LaFarge Concert

Pokey LaFarge is an American roots musician and songwriter who put on a great show last year. We’re so glad he’s returning! Please join us in supporting this FREE concert series in Muncie. Look for our banner and BYO blankets and munchies.


Fashion Week Salad Carry-in Monday, Sept. 25, 5-9pm, at Knights of Columbus

Kick off our year of fashion in high style! Please bring a well-dressed salad to share, and share your excitement for the BSUWC with a friend! Meet and greet the newcomers at 5pm. Interest group registration begins at 5:30pm. Cash bar will be available. Dinner starts at 6pm, followed by the introduction of our scholarship recipients and our regular program.

Fashion, Fit, and Film: Simply Classic & The September Issue

Co-sponsored by Muncie Public Library. Member and Personal Wardrobe Consultant Susan Brumley of Simply Classic will speak about classic style, followed by a screening of The September Issue, a documentary about the personalities and pressures behind Vogue’s September 2007 issue. Light refreshments will be served.

The BSU Women’s Club and the Beeman Historic Costume Collection, together with the Fashion Merchandising and Apparel Design Programs and Hospitality and Food Management, are collaborating to present a fundraiser event celebrating “Ladies Who Lunch”.

Mrs. Frances Petty Sargent is our Honorary Hostess.

A luncheon ticket includes fine dining at Allégre, a presentation about the Beeman Historic Costume Collection, VIP seating at the style show, and a reception to follow. The style show will feature historic ensembles from the Beeman Collection paired with student designs they’ve inspired.

At this free program, themed PechaKucha talks highlight what is creative and cool about the area. PechaKucha is a punchy presentation style in which 20 slides are shown for 20 seconds each (6 minutes and 40 seconds in total). Enjoy refreshments, cash bar, open galleries, and more.
